“And from the throne came a voice saying, ‘Praise our God, all you His servants, you who fear Him, small and great.’ Then I heard what seemed to be the voice of a great multitude, like the roar of many waters and like the sound of the mighty thunder, crying out, ‘Hallelujah! For the Lord our God the Almighty reigns.’”

Revelation 19:5-6

Big Ideas:

  • We were created to worship God.
  • Worship is the mind’s attention and the heart’s affection set on something or someone.
  • Sin causes us to worship false saviors.
  • Through the saving work of Jesus we can worship rightly again.
  • All of eternity believers will get to worship God with their heart, soul, and strength.

Bible Story:

Revelation 14:1-20; 19:1-21

Eternity exists for the eternal worship of God. We are all created for eternity. Our souls will live in eternity praising God in His perfect Heaven or in eternal punishment in hell. When we believe in Jesus, we will spend eternity worshiping forever with other believers.

Story:

New Creation

Part of the beauty of the gospel is that God does not just rescue us from the power of sin, but He is also making everything new. God offers new creation to those who place their faith in Jesus. This newness comes in two ways. The first is that by breaking the power of sin, Jesus is making men and women into brand new people with new identities. Second, God is not only making people new, but He is also going to make a new heaven and a new earth for us to live on and worship Him in.
