We Reject Right Worship

Bible Verse:
Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves, because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen.

Bible Story:
Isaiah 44:6-20There is no God like God. He is the only true God, yet people reject Him and make false gods and idols to worship. Those who worship false gods will be put to shame because there is only one God. Our sinful hearts lead us to make idols, and we, too, will be put to shame for worshiping anything other than the true God.

Everything was perfect in the world until we broke it. When humanity chose to sin, the world that was once perfect became messed up and broken. Sin is ultimately a rejection of God Himself. Because of sin bad things happen, we experience all types of pain, and death has come into the world. All of creation groans and wishes that the world be perfect and good like it was before.
Every child should know that:
- Our sin is a rejection of God’s plans and purposes.
Every child should:
- Repent of their rejection of God.
Every child should feel:
- Sorrowful over their tendency to elevate their plans over God’s plans.
Every child should want:
- To faithfully follow God’s plan and purposes for their lives.
