O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting? The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Bible Story:
1 Samuel 17David was not the most likely candidate for a hero for Israel. He was a young shepherd boy who was sent by his father to bring lunch to his older brothers. Though David was not the most likely hero, he had a hero- sized faith in the victory of God. When he saw Goliath on the hill, he did not trust in his strength, but in the strength of God and he defeated Goliath in God’s power. David knew that God always wins His battles.

New Creation
Part of the beauty of the gospel is that God does not just rescue us from the power of sin, but He is also mak- ing everything new. God offers new creation to those who place their faith in Jesus. This newness comes in two ways. The first is that by breaking the power of sin, Jesus is making men and women into brand new people with new identities. Second, God is not only making people new, but He is also going to make a new heaven and a new earth for us to live on and worship Him in.
Every child should know that:
- God has given us a holy mission to make Him known to others.
Every child should:
- Share the gospel with someone who does not know Jesus.
Every child should feel:
- Burdened for those in their lives who do not know Jesus.
Every child should want:
- To live faithfully on mission for God and be aligned with His purposes instead of our own.
