Bible Story:
Genesis 1:1-31In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. As we open our Bible, we see that everything is made by God and for God. God created every single thing. All the animals, plants, stars and even you! God saved his best creation for last, man. Man is special because he is made in God’s image. After six days of creation, God rested from his work. Use chapter 1 of Genesis to review and reaffirm that God created all things!

God created everything. Everything we see, hear, feel, taste, and that exists was created by Him. Not only did He create everything, but He created everything perfectly, including humanity. He created mankind in His very image and likeness to reflect His worth. All of creation was made just like He wanted and designed it to be. To His delight, God looked at everything He made and declared that it was good. All creation exists for God, is good, and was created to bring Him glory.
Every child should know that:
- There is nothing that exists that did not come from God.

- Be able to retell the narrative of creation.
Every child should feel:
- Thankful for the life they have because God created the world.

- To honor God by honoring God’s creation.
