When we know our position and part in the family of God, we will understand that there are certain things we are called to. This series looks at the call to follow Christ: to be a disciple, looking at several Old and New Testament examples of those who faithfully followed God.
Every student should know that:
- God is the One True King.
- Faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.
- There is a cost to following Jesus.
Every student should strive to:
- Examine their own heart and repent of how they have followed false saviors.
- Pray regularly asking the Lord to grow their faith in Him.
- Endure through discouragement and difficult circumstances.
Every student should feel:
- Confident in the steadfastness of the Lord.
- Grateful for the cloud of witnesses that we have as a model for how to faithfully follow Christ.
- Grounded in Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith.
Every student should want:
- To devote themselves to pursuing holiness.
- To suffer well for the glory of God.
- To use their lives to point others to a better Savior, King, and Treasure.
