Big Truth:

God is Redeemer

Exodus 6:6; 2 Samuel 7:23; Psalm 130:7; Romans 3:24; Colossians 1:13-14; 1 Corinthians 1:30; Ephesians 1:7; Titus 2:13-14; Hebrews 9:12; Revelation 5:9

Bible Verse:

“Then all flesh shall know that I am the Lord your Savior, and your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.”

Isaiah 49:26b

Big Ideas:

  • Sin separates us from God.
  • Separation from God leaves us hopeless and in need of a redeemer.
  • God paid redemption’s price to save us.

Bible Passage:

Ruth 1-4

When Naomi and Ruth returned to Bethlehem, they were two women without husbands or family. They were in need of protection and help. Boaz, one of Naomi’s relatives, chose to bring them into his family. When he brought them into his family, he provided protection and help. God is our Redeemer. He sent His Son to pay our sin debt so that we might become part of His family.

Influence:

“God is.” God exists. There is only one God, and He is the only one worthy of our worship and praise. And, by His grace and mercy, He has made Himself known to us. We do not worship one who is distant from us or who is uninvolved with His creation. This series walks through nine attributes– nine realities that unpack who God is. These realities are so foundational that preschoolers can learn them, and yet are so deep that they impact and inform every aspect of our lives throughout our entire lives.

During the summer, elementary through high school are aligned under the same Big Truths, Bible passages, and Big Ideas as we invite families to return to the foundational truths of who God is.
